    Arena Max

    By Conterra

Arena maintenance has never been so easy. The Arena Max features a revolutionary Depth Control System that gives you power to control your arena depth over the entire surface. With the easy-to-use top-wind jack, adjust grooming depth in seconds — once established, the distance between tire and tooth never changes. A second side-wind jack controls the arena comb so you decide the finish. The front floater bar auto-adjusts with your tires and constantly floats and levels the surface. The result: consistent, level ground every use.

    Engineered efficiency

    Why consistent dragging matters

Stable footing contributes to the safety, performance, and longevity of your horse. A well-worn path or depression is bound to cause harm — building a dragging habit is healthy for your horses, your riders, and overall arena maintenance. Timing is everything: it is better to drag more than necessary than to neglect the task. Whether your footing is natural or synthetic, ruts form fast, and the deeper they get the harder they are to fix.

    safer rides, longer—lasting surface

    Healthy for your horses

no ruts, no hot spots, no compaction

    Timing is everything

drag often, drag light, never let ruts set

    Maintenance habit

How often should I drag my arena?

It depends on how many horses use the arena. With a single horse, dragging every 2–3 days will adequately redistribute and level the footing. The more horses you have, the more often you'll need to drag. The important thing is to keep the arena surface as level as possible.

    Frequently asked questions

What kind of tractor do I need?

The Arena Max requires a tractor with a 3-point hitch. CAM 76 pairs with 18–25 hp, CAM 88 with 25–35 hp, and CAM 112 with 35 hp+.

How is the Arena Max different from the Arena Rake?

Both use angled scarifier shanks, but the Arena Max is built for 3-point hitch tractors and adds a front floater bar that auto-adjusts with the tires for superior leveling. It's the flagship choice for larger facilities that need a wider pass (up to 112″) and heavier frame construction.

    How deep can it cut?

0″ to 5″, controlled by the top-wind jack and monitored with the easy-to-read depth gauge. Once set, the tire-to-tooth distance stays consistent every pass.

What widths and weights are available?

    Three models — CAM 76 (64″ comb / 779 lb), CAM 88 (76″ comb / 930 lb), and CAM 112 (112″ wide / 1,130 lb). All are 79″ long with the same frame architecture.

Are the teeth and comb replaceable?

Yes. The hardened-steel scarifier teeth bolt on for easy changes, and the 3/8″ plate-steel arena comb is laser-cut and replaceable as a wear part.

    What's the lead time?

Groomers are built to order. Expect 4–6 weeks for production and delivery. Shipping is calculated prior to delivery.

How often should I drag my arena?

With one horse, every 2–3 days is enough. With more horses or heavier use, drag more often. The goal is to keep the surface as level as possible — consistency matters more than aggression.
